Five (5) day workshop:
Immerse yourself in the spontaneous and creative world of watercolor. Join Beverly Fields in her popular annual workshop. The focus will be experimental, as well as traditional painting techniques. Using nature to paint nature, classes will include negative space painting scoring and many other special effect with emphasis on design and color harmony. Beverly will demonstrate a new subject each day, which will include an impressionistic landscape study, a village cottage, and an experimental nature study.

The following are some subjects that will be covered during the workshop:

• Studio Painting: seascapes, cottages, floral, still life, & experimental nature study.
• Critique at end of each day

Classes will consist of a lecture and a demonstration. The workshop is designed to challenge the artist with limited experience as well as experienced artists. Emphasis will be on techniques, values, color, design, and creativity. Learn a new way of seeing and at the same time expand your painting skills. We will connect traditional watercolor methods to the exciting world of experimental techniques that are exclusive to the medium.
